Our core service

Patient-education websites for physicians, written in your voice.

Not a marketing brochure with stock photos. A site whose whole job is to teach your patients what they need to know before and after they see you — and which you own outright, down to the last file.

What you are actually buying

A physician website fails in one of two ways. Either it says nothing — a name, a photo, an address, a form — or it says things the physician would never say, because an agency wrote it from a template that has served forty other doctors.

We build the third thing. Every condition guide is drafted in your voice, checked against specialty-society guidance, and published only after you have verified it. Your existing patient handouts are hosted on your own domain rather than a third-party portal that changes its terms every year. Recovery timelines, first-visit expectations, and an FAQ built from the questions your office actually fields go alongside them.

The result is a site that does clinical work. Patients arrive at consultation having read the guide, which shortens the visit and improves it. Referring clinicians send patients to the page rather than explaining it themselves. And because the content is genuinely useful and genuinely yours, search engines treat it as what it is.

Built by someone who has been on call

Web developers can build you a website. What they cannot do is know the difference between marketing copy and patient education, understand what patients actually ask in clinic, or respect what a physician can and cannot say online. Every engagement here is led by a board-certified general surgeon in active practice, who wrote every word of his own patient-education site first and learned every lesson the hard way.

What it looks like built

Three pages from a live patient-education site

All three are from DrCRodriguez.com, the founder’s own practice site — a 44-page build with 11 condition guides, 8 downloadable handouts and a weekly referenced blog. Not a mockup, not a template demo: this is the live site, and you can go and check every claim on this page against it.

A condition guide page titled Gallbladder Disease and Robotic Repair, with a plain-language subtitle, a prominent link to the matching patient handout PDF, a boxed short-version summary of four bullet points, and a related-reading sidebar.
A condition guide. Plain-language summary first, the matching handout one click away, related reading alongside. Written and verified by the surgeon who performs the operation.
A recovery page titled Recovery and Getting Back to Life, with a jump bar linking to gallbladder, inguinal hernia, umbilical hernia and incisional hernia recovery, a section explaining that recovery differs by procedure, and a pain-control section naming specific medicines.
A recovery page. The questions the office answers by phone all day — pain control, activity, wound care — answered once, in writing, with a jump bar straight to the reader’s own procedure.
A waiting-room game called The Bile Trail, showing Chapter 1: The Normal Path, a question asking where bile is made, and three answer choices.
A waiting-room game. A patient with ten minutes and a phone will learn something if you give them a reason to. Three of these exist on the site; the footer keeps the education disclaimer visible throughout.

Pricing

Build tiers and pricing

Founding-client rates for agreements signed in 2026. Typical agency pricing for a custom medical site runs $5,000 to $18,000 before monthly platform fees; we stay under that because the overhead is one surgeon and a build system, not an agency.

All prices exclusive of sales tax. Texas treats website work as a taxable data processing service; your invoice shows the tax as its own line.
TierPriceWhat it covers
Foundation Site $3,500 Up to 8 pages: home, about, four condition or procedure guides in your voice, FAQ, and a what-to-expect page. Includes hosting of your existing handout PDFs, search-engine foundations, analytics, security hardening, QR codes and a printed office handout, and mobile verification on every page before delivery.
Complete Patient-Education Site $6,500 Everything in Foundation, expanded to 12 to 18 pages: a full condition library including open versus minimally invasive comparison pages where that fits your practice, a complete patient-journey section from first visit through recovery, your full handout library integrated page by page, and the blog engine installed and ready.
Group & Practice Site $8,500 Up to 3 physicians. Everything in Complete, built for a practice: a practice-level home page, individual bio and procedure pages for each physician, a shared condition library with each guide attributed to and verified by the physician who performs it, a provider directory, and up to two location pages. Each additional physician $750; each additional location page $400.
Contact form add-on $250 A secure contact form with patient-safety guardrails: clearly marked non-urgent and non-medical, with emergency wording directing patients to call 911 or your office. Included where a package already lists a form.
Launch is included. Every build price covers taking the site live: hosting configured under your own account, your domain connected, the secure padlock verified, form notifications delivered to an inbox you choose, and registration with analytics and the search consoles. There is no separate go-live fee. Payment is 40% to begin, 40% on delivery of the first complete draft, 20% on your acceptance — spelled out in the services agreement. Every build includes a 30-day stabilization window: defect fixes and up to 2 hours of minor tweaks at no charge.
After launch

Monthly care plans, if you want them

Entirely optional. Cancel any monthly plan anytime, effective at the end of the current month — no notice periods, no exit fees, and the site, domain and accounts stay yours either way.

PlanPriceWhat it covers
Essential Care$195/mo Hosting, domain and security oversight; site backups; up to one hour of content updates or edits each month; QR code and office handout refresh when the site changes; and a monthly usage report in plain language.
Complete Care$395/mo Everything in Essential, with up to three hours of monthly updates, priority turnaround, a quarterly content review, and the monthly Technology & AI in Medicine article at no charge.
Practice Essential$295/mo Multi-physician sites, 2 hours of updates per month.
Practice Complete$595/mo Multi-physician sites, 5 hours, quarterly reviews with your designated decision-maker, and the monthly article included.

Work beyond your plan’s included hours is quoted first and billed at $125/hour. Unused hours don’t roll over; they keep the flat fee low. Prepay any care or blog plan for a year at the price of ten months.

Keeping the site fresh

A site that updates on a steady cadence gets noticed by search engines in a way a static site never does — it is the single strongest long-term driver of search visibility we offer. You write the clinical content in your voice; we do the formatting, citation links, graphics placement, search optimization, publishing, and the site-wide updates that go with it.

Blog publishing subscriptions are billed separately from care plans, so you only pay for the cadence you actually sustain.
CadencePricePer post
One post, as needed$95/post$95
Monthly (1 post)$85/month$85
Twice monthly (2 posts)$160/month$80
Weekly (4–5 posts)$280/month~$65

Questions about a website build

Do I have to write everything myself?

No. We draft, you verify. The drafting is done from your existing materials — handouts, consent forms, the things you already say in clinic — plus a structured interview to capture how you actually explain each condition. Nothing clinical goes live until you have read it and signed off. What you are protecting is your voice and your clinical judgment; what you are delegating is the writing, formatting and publishing labour.

How long does a build take?

A Foundation site typically runs four to six weeks from intake to launch, and most of that clock is your review time rather than ours. Complete and Group sites take longer in proportion to the content. The one thing that reliably runs long is chasing down access a previous vendor is sitting on, which is why we ask you to have your domain and hosting logins in hand before launch week.

What if I already have a website?

Start with the free evaluation. It will tell you whether a refresh is enough, which is often the honest answer and always the cheaper one. There is no point buying a rebuild for a site whose structure already fits your practice.

Am I locked in?

No. Every account is created in your name from the start — domain, hosting, analytics, search consoles. If you leave, the site, the domain and the accounts stay yours: no buyout, no export fee. Out-of-pocket third-party costs are yours directly and are small: about $10 to $20 a year for the domain, and hosting is free at our recommended tier.

Can I run it myself instead of buying a care plan?

Yes. Say the word and we hand the finished site to you deploy-ready with a plain-language runbook instead of launching it for you. Same price either way, and if you change your mind within 90 days we will still do the launch at no charge.

Is the site HIPAA-relevant?

A patient-education website with a general contact form is not a place for protected health information, and we build it so it stays that way: forms are clearly marked non-urgent and non-medical, and the wording asks patients not to send clinical details. If your project needs to touch PHI — a registry, a portal integration — that is a different conversation with different requirements, and we will say so rather than quietly building past it.

Ready to talk about your site?

The intake takes about ten minutes. We review every one personally and reply by email within two business days, then schedule a free 30-minute scoping call. After the call you get a fixed written quote. No obligation.
